We conduct many awareness programs to tackle this problem as girls in rural Nepal are still forced to marry early.
A documentary called “Ujeli” talks about this problem. We showed this film to children in grades 7 -10. The students were interested in the topic and eager to learn about the social problems prevalent in different Nepalese communities. We made it a point to discourage such evil practices in society and discuss with the students why child marriages hurt society.
